Sherry Lee Heeb

Author • Creative Visionary • Lifelong Advocate for Love, Healing, and Peace

She wrote her first book at twelve years old. Decades later, she’s still writing for the same reason: to fill hearts with hope.

Where the Story Began

In 1964, a twelve-year-old girl sat on her bedroom floor with a manual typewriter. She typed out quotes that inspired her and filled her heart with hope, then stapled the pages together to make a little book.

Sherry grew up in a home where love felt conditional and criticism was constant. She was a straight-A student, an A-squad cheerleader, and her high school’s homecoming queen, yet nothing she did ever seemed to be enough for her mother. She learned early to stay quiet.

"I was young, and I believed that if you loved someone enough, they would love you back. I was wrong."

The Turning Point

Then came a moment that changed everything. Sherry realized that if she kept believing that critical voice, she would spend her life searching for love everywhere except within herself.

So she began the slow, courageous work of learning to love herself. That realization became the heart of everything she writes today.

"The gift was never what someone did to you. The gift is what you discover in you."

A Life Built on Love, Life & Light

Sherry has spent her life turning that hope into something she could share. Her work has always centered on three simple words: Love, Life, and Light.

She is the co-creator of Spinoza, the world’s first singing and talking teddy bear, a companion designed to bring comfort and connection. She also co-created J.S. Girls Club and the youth peace project Step Into World Peace, both dedicated to helping young people grow in confidence, kindness, and compassion. Her 365 Days of World Peace Calendar invites readers to make peace a daily practice, one day at a time.

The 4good4ever Journals

The 4good4ever Journals are Sherry’s signature series, each built around a different theme and grounded in small daily acts of Love, Life, and Light.

  • Cut’em or Keep’em: Building Healthy Relationships
  • 21 Gifts for Christmas: My Most Meaningful Season
  • What We Believe!
  • Key 4 Kismet: Find What You’re Looking For!
  • The Hidden Gifts of the Narcissist, her most personal journal yet

Most recently, Sherry has stepped into fiction with A Couple and Complications, a romance novella.

Life Today

Today, Sherry lives the kind of love she once only hoped for. She and her husband, Brian, whom she lovingly calls “the opposite of a narcissist,” divide their time between two places they cherish.

Summers are spent on Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, where they enjoy boating, pretending to fish, and watching the sunsets. Winters take them to a mountaintop in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Sherry can often be found hiking, skiing, writing, painting, or quietly sipping a decaf mocha while watching the world go by.

"It was worth all the bumpy roads and dark avenues to find him, or maybe God found him for me."

When we tell ourselves the truth with compassion, we begin to return home.
